The Finnish Embassy, Finnagora, and the Scandinavian House invite everyone to a Moomin-themed family day!

When? Saturday, October 18, between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Where? At the Esernyős café and Szinbád event hall (1033 Budapest, Fő tér 2.)

80 years ago, in 1945, Swedish-speaking Finnish artist and writer Tove Jansson published her first Moomin novel, Moomins and the Great Flood. The artist and writer began writing the story in the midst of the hardships of World War II – the work was an escape for her to a better, friendlier world. The Moomin Valley created by Tove Jansson is a reflection of Finnish society, whose cornerstones are trust, acceptance, and social cohesion.

Be part of the Moomin Valley adventure! We welcome Moomin fans of all ages with exciting, creative, and educational programs!
The detailed program can be found on the Facebook event (In Hungarian)
Registration is required for the mini language lessons: https://forms.gle/zMFmk9Pv75j3MdnNA
