Anneli Temmes (Licentiate of Public Administration) will serve as the interim director of FinnAgora from 1 January to 30 April 2022. Eero Yrjö-Koskinen, the current director of the Institute, will be on leave and will return to his duties as director on 1 May 2022. 

Temmes was the director of FinnAgora in 2008-2009 so the job is familiar to her. She has previously worked for the Finnish Ministry of Finance and the Swedish municipal sector. For the past nine years, she has been the CEO of HAUS Finnish Institute of Public Management Ltd, a state-owned company that provides training for civil servants and administrative development. In addition, she has worked on numerous international development projects funded by the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the EU.

Temmes’ previous positions have mainly concentrated on training, development and management. As a trainer and developer, her main themes have been good governance, professional management, inspiring personnel policy and success in international projects.

Temmes has been involved especially in cultural foundations and associations, such as the board of the FinnAgora foundation. Her hobbies include culture in different forms, as well as writing and exercising. In addition, she enjoys visiting the antiques and collectors’ markets.
