Night of Literature 30.3.
The popular city festival Night of Literature organized by EUNIC Hungary brings European literature to Budapest.
During this night actors read literature from every EUNIC Hungary country in Hungarian in suprising places that are usually closed from public. You have to possibility to explore the city while participating the readings of contemporary literature from all around Europe!
Actors Lehel Kovács and István Dankó from Katona József Színház perform A Dream Death (2014) by Finnish author Leena Krohn to the audience in a cabin of the Liberty Bridge´s guard at 7 pm, 7.30 pm, 8 pm, 8.30 pm, 9 pm, 9.30 pm, 10 pm and 10.30 pm.
Leena Krohn is one of the internationally best known author Finnish author. Her large and varied body of work includes novels, short stories, children's books, and essays which have been published in 20 languages. In her books she deals with topics that include man's relationship with himself and the world, morality, borders between reality and illusion, and the problem of life, especially through observing different kinds of artificial intelligence.
Krohn has received several prizes, including the Finlandia Prize for literature in 1992. Her short novel Tainaron: Mail From Another City was nominated for a World Fantasy Award and International Horror Guild Award in 2005.
