Trainees Alexandra Cederberg and Kirsi Silanterä want to thank the entire team at FinnAgora for their time at the institute, as their internships are coming to an end in June.

Alexandra started her internship at FinnAgora in August 2023. Her 11-month long internship is supported by the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland.

"I started my internship at FinnAgora in August last year. Time has gone by incredibly fast, and the 11-month internship has been full of exciting experiences and encounters, both on and off the job. All in all, my internship at FinnAgora has been a very valuable experience and I have learned a lot about how an institute functions as well as about the cultural field in general. I had never been to Hungary or Budapest before, so I didn't really know what to expect when I moved here. However, the city has exceeded all my expectations and I have had a great time here, which is why I will miss both Budapest and the FinnAgora team greatly. It is with a wistful but grateful feeling that I move on to new challenges!"

Kirsi Silanterä, EDUFI intern of spring 2024, joined the FinnAgora team as an intern for five months from February till June.

“First of all: Thank you to the team of FinnAgora and The Finnish National Agency for Education for this opportunity. It’s really impactful that these kinds of opportunities exist to support people in professional growth as well as international dialogue.

Second of all, to sum up the contents of my spring: space for ideas is space for expansion. I’ve had the chance to grow in my experience in ways that only the trust, freedom and responsibility shown to me could have offered.

For my part, this spring turned out to be the hardest one of my life, when in the middle of my internship I received extremely difficult family news from Finland. The team met me with empathy and understanding, and I was still able to finish the internship.

I got the opportunity to really challenge myself and learn a lot of the field and strategic thinking especially in the framework of organizational communication, which provided me with significant new experience for all future career paths among the field of communication.

Thank you, team, The Finnish National Agency for Education and the whole SKTI network - hopefully the future will bring new meaningful opportunities for co-operation in one form or another!

We wish everyone a lovely summer!
