The Finnish cultural and academic institutes are opening Together Alone 2.0 open call! The Finnish cultural and academic institutes’ network calls again Finnish and Finland-based artists, artist groups and their colleagues abroad to international collaboration. The pandemic keeps us physically apart, and the crisis severely affects the cultural field.
The institutes are now looking for art projects that explore the challenges and solutions stemming from the crisis: perseverance in front of the crisis, radical change, societal innovations and inclusive, accessible art. We encourage collective and socially responsible and collaborative projects that are developed with minorities and/or underrepresented communities to apply.
The aim of the open call is to support artists in the crisis and to further international collaborations. Even though mobility and physical meetings must be restricted now, we want to stress the importance of international collaboration and networks. A big concern is that the pandemic reduces international dialogue. With the Together Alone project we wish to encourage creators regardless of the field to think of new ways to operate in a situation where mobility and physical contacts are not possible. The open call is especially looking for projects that encourage broad international cooperation – without physical contacts.
The open call is open now. We ask you to send in the applications by 11.5.2021. Apply now!
