WORLD AND TRADITIONAL MUSIC EDUCATION BOOM IN THE WORLD

Sibelius Academy lecturer Petri Prauda is one of the speakers at this year’s edition of Budapest Ritmo, where he will talk about the worldwide boom of folk music education. In recent years the demand for folk and world music education has grown steadily. Petri Prauda and the other panelists will discuss the reason behind this boom. Petri Prauda is a forefront figure in the Finnish folk music scene and frequently performs all over the world with his many bands and projects. Prauda is known for his diversity as a musician and has performed with many taditional folk bands, as well as with metal-and rock bands.
