Two Finnish films at the Scandinavian Film Festival
A biographical drama film The Girl King directed by Mika Kaurismäki and a documentary Garden Lovers by Virpi Suutari represent Finnish film making at the Scandinavian Film Festival held in Budapest between 26th and 30th of October.
The Girl King from 2015 tells about Queen Christina who at the age of six became a monarch in the 17th century Sweden. The film is a Finnish-Swedish-German collaboration. Garden Lovers from 2014 is a humorous declaration of love to the beauty and healing powers of gardens.
