Finn Filmnapok is here again! For the 14th time the Finnish Film Days will showcase a wide and interesting program of contemporary Finnish cinema. This year's festival is held on 19.2.-23.2.2025 at Toldi Mozi cinema in Budapest. All films have Hungarian and English subtitles.

The theme for this year’s festival is: GENERATIONS. Cinema as an art form has affected humanity for many generations and we all share memories connected to films or cinemas.

The Finn Filmnapok program portrays many sides of the theme, for example the connections between different generations, the differences between them, and the consequences of decisions made by older generations passed on to the people in the future.

The program has 8 long fiction films, 2 documentary films and one short film screening.

The festival also includes interesting side programs. After the documentary film ONCE UPON A TIME IN A FOREST there will be a panel discussion on environmental protection work and activism in Hungary and Finland.

After the documentary film NEUROTYPES the Hungarian Autism Union will be present to answer questions from the audience.

The film BUTTERFLIES takes place at a tango festival in Seinäjoki, and in honor of this we will organise a tango dance class after the film.

On Sunday the whole program will be Moomin themed to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first Moomin book! We are screening the autobiographical film TOVE, and the whole festival ends with the new film THE SUMMER BOOK based on Tove Jansson’s novel with the same title. In honor of the theme we will also organise a workshop on Moomin puppetry. In the workshop both children and adults can create their own paper Moomin puppets and make a performance at the Moomin puppet theatre.
