FinnAgora is going on leave!

25/06/2021 - 10:45 to 02/08/2021 - 08:00

Our staff at FinnAgora will be on leave in July. We will return to the office on 2nd of August. We want to thank you all for your support during this challenging period and we look forward to seeing you again in the autumn. We sincerely hope that the most difficult times of the pandemic are over, and that we can continue producing events and eventually meet you in person.

The following events will be coming up in the autumn:

  • 16 August: Opening of Women Rock photo exhibition at Hybrid Art Space in Budapest.

  • 29 August: MimoArt and Silver Sepp performance during the Szabihid event by the Danube.

  • 3 September: Night of Nordic Culture event at Kossuth Klub in the center of Budapest.

  • 15 September: To celebrate the visit of Finnish Archbishop Tapio Luoma, we will organise a seminar in collaboration with the Evangelical-Lutheran Church in Hungary on The Role of Minority Churches in a Multicultural Europe of the 21st Century.

In addition, we will continue our podcast series Point Taken. In this series, we will discuss a variety of topics, including art, culture and current affairs, together with our special guests. Similarly, we will publish written interviews with Finnish and Hungarian guests under the name “Guest of the Month”.

Later in the autumn, we will continue the Finnovation series by organising on 3 December a Conference on Circular and Low-Carbon Economy, in conjunction to the Planet Budapest 2021 Summit. In addition, we will visit Szeged, where we will organise a seminar on education together with the local university, and show an award-winning Finnish movie (Tove) with Hungarian subtitles. In Budapest, we will also organise a stand up night (We Stand Up) and we are going to participate in the Design Week as well.

We will keep you informed about these events and activities through our newsletters and social media.

We wish you a pleasant summer break!
