FinnAgora launches a virtual art gallery

We are happy to announce something that has been in the works for a while – our new digital gallery space you can view at finnagora.hu/virtualgallery. The gallery is based on FinnAgora’s actual office space.

The first exhibition we are showcasing in the gallery is Women Rock, a photography exhibition about female artists in the male dominated industry. The exhibition consists of concert photos from seven talented Finnish music photographers: Anni Ylkänen, Virve Kulmala, Janne Puronen, Mika Kirsi, Jessica Johansson, Sanna Larmola and Sami Turunen. The photos were chosen in a competition.

We are excited about the possibilities the gallery opens for us now and in the future. In the midst of the pandemic it offers a way to showcase – and view – art in a socially distanced way, be it running an exhibition completely online or providing an online option for those who don’t wish to attend an actual gallery. The virtual gallery will be a great tool for us after the pandemic as well as it makes exhibitions we are arranging accessible for people who can’t or won’t attend the exhibition physically for some reason. We welcome you to take a look at Women Rock and to come back for upcoming exhibitions!

The gallery has been built by the Hungarian company XORXOR in collaboration with Let it Be! art agency.
