Drawing Contest for Hungarian Student - FinnAgora celebrates the Council of Europes 70th birthday

This year, the Council of Europe celebrates its 70th birthday.

One of the priority goals of the Council of Europe is to defend human rights, and this drawing contest is linked to that. We expect secondary school students (age group: 14-18) to send in drawings, photos, videos or computer graphics about human rights via ET70.rajzverseny@gmail.com. Deadline: 3rd December 2019.

1st prize: A trip to Strasbourg for 2 persons (return air tickets, hotel room for 2 nights, per diem) including a visit to the Council of Europe – courtesy of the Netherlands embassy
2nd prize: A trip to Strasbourg for 1 person (return air tickets, hotel room for 2 nights, per diem)
including a visit to the Council of Europe – courtesy of FinnAgora
3rd prize: Gift pack of the European Youth Centre Budapest, including free entry to a EYCB training in the first half of 2020


The drawing contest is organised by the embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in collaboration with the Finnish cultural institute FinnAgora, the European Youth Centre Budapest and the European Parliament Liaison Office. We will inform the winners on 6th December by e-mail and phone calls. The first three winners will receive the main prizes at the EYCB on 10th December, International Human Rights Day. The visitor`s programme to the Council of Europe is arranged by the EYCB. The trips can take place in the first half of 2020.

The best artworks submitted will be presented in an online gallery shared on the co-organisers` websites and social media pages.

·         title of the work

·         your name, date of birth, your parent/guardian`s name

·         your postal address

·         name of your school and class

·         your parent/guardian`s written permission for data handling (photographed/scanned)

·         your or your parent/guardian`s mobile number*

* We handle the participating students` name, address, date of birth, the name of the parent/guardian and the school class confidentially, based on voluntary provision, and we will not transfer these to a third party. The aim of the date handling is to identify and contact the student either as a winner or a participant in the planned online exhibition. The data handled by the embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (1027 Budapest, Kapás u. 6-12.) will be destructed together with the e-mail address storage.
